Race and Public Space

Spaces become marked as race through media representations, policies of the state at different scales, public discourse, and everyday practices. This module asks you to write a particular kind of paper -- a paper that argues for or against a particular stance -- regarding what should be done with the Confederate monuments on Richmond's Monument Avenue.
